Loyola School, Jamshedpur, is a high school in the 10+2 format under the Council For The Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) Board. The school, founded in 1947, is managed by the Fathers of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a religious institute within the Catholic Church. Following the Ignatian/Jesuit educational principles, Loyola School educates about 3350 students belonging to the diverse cultural and socio-economic strata of Jamshedpur. The school's motto is In Caritate et Justitia (In Charity and Justice), and it offers education in Arts, Science and Commerce at the higher secondary level.
Loyola School, Jamshedpur, has grown immensely during its glorious seventy-five years while implementing the Jesuit spiritual and educational characteristics, thus contributing significantly to the education of children in Jamshedpur. Our active and vibrant Alumni Association is a witness to the contribution of Loyola in the service of the Nation.
The recent conclusion of Platinum Jubilee Celebration was a time to be grateful for all the wonderful moments during the 75 years down memory lane, but at the same time to look forward with a greater vision and aspirations as we continue to live in these changing times of our complex world. Loyola will continue to uphold the humanistic character formation of our students, who grow to become men and women for others, especially caring for the needy. It will also prepare them to bring out their best as they wade through the technological and informational explosion.
