Kaleidoscope 2K23 was an Inter School Gala Event successfully organized for Std1 to 5 on Friday, the 22nd of September 2023, by the Junior Section of Loyola School. The theme chosen for this year was ‘INNOVATE - Towards a Better Tomorrow’.
The fest was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp in the Fasy Auditorium. The students of the guest schools, their teachers and the judges were welcomed with a theme song sung by the school choir, followed by a prayer.
In the welcome address given by the Rector of Loyola School, Rev Fr K M Joseph, S.J., he appreciated the commendable efforts taken by the guest schools.
Over two hundred and fifty students from a total of 9 schools participated. There were seven events in all -
GADGET GURU, a fancy dress competition displayed by the little children of Std 1 and 2, showcasing different gadgets and machines, was endearing to watch.
SWITCH, an event for Std 3 and 4 in which they had to dance to western music choreographed to an Indian classical song, had the audience asking for more.
ART WITH A HEART saw the use of graffiti art which was indeed an innovative way to find a solution to modern day problems. This was presented in a most unique way by the students of Std 5.
MECHANO was yet another interesting event for the budding scientists of Std 4 and 5. They were given the opportunity to exhibit models and gadgets created by them using ecofriendly material.
To sharpen the Intelligence Quotient of the students, was ‘THE INNOVATE QUIZ' with cutting edge competition and nail biting moments.
MAKE OVER was a phenomenal fashion show by the students of Std 4 and 5 .The aspiring models, flaunting costumes made of recycled cloth and waste items, walking down the ramp with poise, was an instant hit.
Carving out strategies for marketing by preparing jingles to sell imaginary products was indeed a HARD SELL by the students of Std 4 and 5.
The finale was an elaborate and spectacular closing ceremony marked by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Vicar General FrAlwin CV.
The gathering was addressed by our Principal, Fr.VinodFernandes, S.J.
The programme ended on a happy note as the results were announced. The overall championship trophy was bagged by Carmel Junior College while D.B.M.S. EnglishSchool was the First Runners Up and NarbheramHanshraj English School was the Second Runners Up.
The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and the Vice Principal of the Junior Section, Mrs Vineeta FEkka, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
