Joy of giving week was celebrated in the Junior Section of Loyola school before the winter vacation. The students of std 5 along with the teachers put up different programs during the assembly. They also visited Cheshire Home in Sundernagar on the 18th of December. The members of Care and Share Club went to Nirmal Hriday.
The students experienced that 'Caring is sharing and sharing is caring'. If we care for others we will share and if we share it means we care. The joy of giving cannot be put in any words .It is an act of kindness. They came to know that they are so fortunate to have parents, siblings, friends and relatives - a home .But there are so many children and adults who are differently abled - some are sick ,some deaf and dumb while others cannot walk or talk. They are not so fortunate .But they also have feelings....they also feel sad ,happy and love to have visitors. A visit to these ' homes ' is a step towards being more human by sharing 365 days a week..our smile ,time, act of goodness. This is an opportunity for us to be Men and Women for others .
