Students of STD XII-B and XII-D visited the Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL), Narwa Pahar, on the 2nd and 3rd September 2026. The visits offered students valuable first-hand exposure to uranium mining, nuclear science and its practical applications.

Through informative sessions, museum visits and interactive exhibits, the students learnt about uranium mining, isotopes, radioactivity, nuclear energy, environmental surveys and its applications in agriculture. They also gained insights into the Santhali community and its heritage.

The visits concluded with engaging quiz and Q&A sessions, making the experience both informative and memorable.

The excursions beautifully connected classroom learning with real-world experience, inspiring curiosity, scientific enquiry and a deeper understanding of nuclear science and industry.
