Loyola School, Bistupur, observed Labour Day on 1st May 2026 at the Fasy Auditorium with deep respect and gratitude, honouring its support staff, the silent pillars and backbone of the institution, whose dedication ensures the smooth functioning of the school.

The programme began with a dignified procession of the support staff along with the Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Vice Principal (Senior Section) Ms. Jayanthi Sheshadri, Vice Principal (Junior Section) Ms. Vineeta Ekka, Senior Coordinator Ms. Victoria Prasad and other dignitaries.

In his address, a student of Std XII highlighted that the institution stands firmly on the commitment and tireless efforts of these dedicated individuals, whose work transforms vision into reality and deserves constant respect and appreciation.

The students paid tribute through a series of meaningful presentations. A choral recitation gave voice to the emotions and struggles of the support staff, followed by a mime depicting their hard work across various fields. A musical tribute and a graceful dance performance further expressed heartfelt gratitude towards these unsung heroes.

Representing the support staff, Mr. James expressed sincere appreciation to the management and students for the thoughtful celebration, acknowledging the respect and recognition extended to them.

Tokens of appreciation were presented to the support staff by the dignitaries as a mark of gratitude. The celebration concluded with a group photograph, capturing a moment of unity and shared respect.

In his concluding remarks, Fr. Vinod Fernandes emphasized that such respect must extend beyond a single day and become a part of everyday life.

Other achievements and recognitions of the school, including the artistic contribution of Fr. Akhilesh, and initiatives by the Tarumitra and the SAFE Club, were briefly acknowledged during the programme.

The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving behind a strong message on the dignity of labour and the importance of valuing those who work quietly yet tirelessly behind the scenes.
