Jamshedpur, April 22, 2026 — Loyola School, Jamshedpur celebrated Earth Day 2026 with a host of activities organised by the Tarumitra Club, based on the theme “Our Power, Our Planet.” The aim was to encourage students to commit to real action for the environment.

A nukkad natak performed during the morning assembly demonstrated how everyone can help protect the Earth by taking simple, practical steps in daily life.

A softboard decoration competition on the same theme was organized for Classes 6 to 8. Students shared creative ideas about protecting the environment. For Classes 9 and 10, a slogan writing competition was held to promote awareness and responsibility.

An e-waste collection drive was also conducted on April 21 and 22 as part of Earth Day activities.

The celebrations highlighted the importance of caring for the environment and the role of the Tarumitra Club in spreading awareness. Students were encouraged to inculcate eco-friendly habits such as using solar energy, reducing plastic use, recycling waste, saving electricity, using cloth bags, and sharing transport to reduce pollution.

Through these activities, Loyola School continues to inspire students to become responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.
