Jamshedpur, April 24, 2026: Loyola School, Jamshedpur, successfully celebrated Safety Week from April 20 to April 24, 2026. The week-long programme was organized by the SAFE Club with the objective of promoting awareness and preparedness regarding various aspects of safety among students.
The celebrations commenced on April 20 with a series of creative competitions. Students of Classes 6 and 7 participated in a First Aid Box Making Competition, while students of Classes 8, 9, and 10 showcased their art skills in a Poster Making Competition on the theme of 'Food Safety'. The winners were awarded medals.
On April 21, an informative session on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was conducted for the students of Class 12 in St. Joseph’s Hall. The session was led by Dr. Binayendu Prakash, a senior cardiologist in Tata Main Hospital. He provided valuable insights and practical knowledge on life-saving techniques.
The focus shifted to emergency preparedness on April 22 with a Fire Safety Drill facilitated by Mr. Abhishek from the Fire Brigade, who guided students and staff on safety protocols and effective response during fire emergencies.
An Evacuation Drill was carried out on April 23 for Classes 6 to 12 under the supervision of the school’s sports teachers. The drill aimed to train students in orderly and safe evacuation procedures during emergencies.
The week concluded on April 24 with an informative presentation on Cyber Safety by the SAFE Club for students of Classes 6 to 8. The event, presented by the students themselves, highlighted the importance of responsible digital behavior and online security.
Safety Week at Loyola School proved to be an enriching experience, equipping students with essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to various safety challenges.
