Jamshedpur, January 26: Loyola School celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and solemn pride on its campus. The school premises were beautifully decorated, thus creating a vibrant ambience, where the aura of patriotism filled the air and resonated in every heart.

The event was graced by Dr K.P. Dubey, an alumnus of Loyola School, alongside Fr. Michael T Raj, S.J., Rector, Loyola School, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, S.J., PhD, Principal, Former Principal Fr. Victor Misquith , Fr. Akhilesh ,Ms. Jayanthi Sheshadri, Vice- Principal, Senior Section, Fr. Francis P V., S.J., Headmaster, Loyola Hindi School, the staff, alumni, parents and students.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, invoking a deep sense of unity and respect for the nation. Students presented a colourful cultural programme that included patriotic dances, soul-stirring songs, a thought-provoking mime and poems highlighting India's freedom struggle and the values of democracy, unity and diversity.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. K.P. Dubey urged students to uphold the ideals of democracy, unity and responsibility, emphasizing the role of youth in shaping the future of the nation. He appreciated the students' performances and reminded them that these glorious years of the Indian Republic are a precious legacy that they must cherish, protect and strengthen through their actions as its guardians.

Addressing the gathering, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, highlighted the fact that true patriotism lies in discipline, integrity, service and respect for others. He encouraged them to be responsible citizens and contribute positively to society while remaining rooted in moral and ethical values.

The celebration concluded on a note of optimism and patriotism, leaving everyone inspired to work towards a stronger, united and progressive India.
