Steering Towards Safety: Special Assembly by the Safe Club
[12 Apr 2025]
The Safe Club of Loyola school organized a special morning assembly on 10th April 2025 as part of Safety Week, observed from 8th to 12th April. The assembly began with an introductory speech by student members of the Safe Club, who shared the objective of the week and encouraged participation in various activities such as mock fire drills, poster-making, slogan writing and an open quiz on road safety . A student delivered an impactful speech on the importance of safety while driving, urging everyone to follow traffic rules diligently. The highlight of the assembly was a stand-up comedy act by three students, who humorously addressed serious issues like wearing helmets, fastening seat belts, the role of airbags, rash driving and the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol. Their comic performance, while entertaining, carried a strong and clear message about road safety. A student then shared a real-life accident experience, adding a personal and emotional dimension to the importance of staying safe on the roads. The assembly concluded with an insightful message by Father Rector, who emphasized the need to abide by safety rules in all walks of life. His words were both enlightening and motivating, leaving a lasting impact on the students. The Safe Club continues to inspire students to be responsible citizens and spread awareness about safety within the school and beyond.
