Loyola School, Jamshedpur, proudly celebrated the historic milestone of NCC Raising Day, marking the official commencement of its NCC unit. The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Fr. K.M. Joseph, the Rector; Fr. Vinod Fernandes, the Principal; Ms. Jayanthi Shesadri, Vice Principal (Senior Section); ADM Colonel Prem Chandra Jha; and Subedar Major Ravin Khandal. The highlight of the event was the presence of the Chief Guest, Colonel Vinay Ahuja, who formally declared the unit open and delivered an inspiring speech on discipline, leadership and service to the nation. The celebration commenced with the official song of the NCC, setting the tone for the event. This was followed by the introduction and felicitation of the Chief Guest. Kripa Bhatia, a student of Loyola School, presented a brief history of the NCC and its significance, followed by an insightful presentation by GCI Ruchita Gautam.
Father Principal addressed the gathering, sharing his thoughts on the importance of discipline, responsibility and patriotism in shaping young minds. His words encouraged the newly inducted cadets to embrace the values of the National Cadet Corps with pride and commitment. The event concluded with the inauguration of the NCC Office and the unveiling of the NCC Board near Gate No. 1. With 25 cadets to be enrolled this year and another 25 in the second year, Loyola joins 29 schools and 11 colleges under the 37 Jharkhand Battalion, embarking on a journey of patriotism, responsibility, and nation-building.
